Omniac Attack: Expert Tutor Tips!

Hey Albuquerque Students!

Summer in Albuquerque is a great time for students!  School's out, there's little to do, little responsibility, and maximum freedom and leisure.  However, summer's also a great time to get ahead in your studies and to get started on college admissions.  And with Omniac Education's new 'Taste of College' Summer Academy, you can get ahead of your school work without feeling like you've wasted your summer.

Our 'Taste of College' programs will highlight one of four very popular degree paths:  Engineering, Business, Pre-Med, and Pre-Law.  Our great tutors tailor all aspects of the program to each particular path.  So while we may have tutoring sessions on pre-calculus for engineering and pre-med, business and pre-law will focus more on writing.  

In addition, each of the four programs will feature a special project that will take students out of the classroom and place them directly into some of the more interesting aspects of the featured path:

• Med students will act as CDC epidemiologists during a simulated disease outbreak!
   
• Law students will research high profile court cases and then argue for or against the outcome in a simulated courtroom!
   
• Business students will create a business model and will have to present that to a group of mock investors to secure startup capital for their venture!
   
• Engineering students will design and build model bridges and then test those against each other's to see whose design is most structually sound!

The medicine program will run June 18-28, 9am-1pm; the business program will run June 18-28, 2pm-6pm; the law program will run July 9-19, 9am-1pm; and the engineering program will run July 9-19, 2pm-6pm.
